This letter was written by an 89 year old lady for her children and family, and has given her permission for it to be copied and given away to our loved ones.
Dear
In days to come many families will complain--perhaps justly--"Why didn't they warn us?" Perhaps we have tried, but you were not prepared to listen--to heed. So now I send you this in the hope that, as more of the signs of the Times are
revealed, you may be watchful, and--hopefully--escape the terrors that are
foretold.
All that Science has discovered in this century, rather than undermining the Bible, has served to confirm it--so long is one is looking with an open mind, and in the right directions. We blind ourselves by misinterpretation) God said (Amos 3.7) that He would do nothing without revealing it to His servants the Prophets, so THAT must apply also to History today--all has been pre-viewed though often in parable form. All He withheld was the DAY and hour (Matt 24: 36), the EXACT timing, not the PERIOD--which Jesus said would be indicated by tremendous anxiety about "those things which would be coming upon Earth'' (Luke 21:26) Isn't that a literal description of the largely unspoken dread of people today? Jesus said that conditions would be similar to those in the days of Noah when there must have been--perhaps even among animals--indications of something very unusual threatening. (Gen 7) But people continued to lead lives careless of the SIGNS and of the Laws of God which, He said, should be imprinted on our hearts, or, as we call it today, on our conscience.
And just as God the Father shut the door of the Ark before judgment fell, so He will remove the Church, the Body of Christ, (not a denomination but all who love the Lord and look for--actively prepare for--His Return) and will shut the Door of FREE Salvation thereafter (Luke 13:25) Forgiveness will have to be EARNED, PAID FOR, through suffering, which will be intense as the world tries to avenge its own agony on those who should have known, but failed to warn.
Just imagine the chaos and havoc that will ensue when every ''born again"
Christian in every part of the world suddenly disappears--is translated, "carried over'': drivers of cars and railways, sea and air pilots; doctors and nurses; judges and lawyers, police and jailers, teachers and carers, staff in Banks and financial institutions, not to mention the ''estates'' tied up because there is not evidence of the death of the testator. No wonder the Bible says it will be ''a time of trouble such as never before experienced'' (Dan 12:1) So--is it imminent? and why?
Jesus said it will be for the same reason as for the Flood--the wickedness of men (Gen 6:3, Mt 24:37), their ignoring of God and His Laws; because, if He did NOT intervene, no flesh on earth will survive (Mt 24:22) That does not sound so
far-fetched, now that the world is threatened by the proliferation of nuclear
weapons.
It is possible, in fact today it appears probable that the great Antagonist of that time will be ISLAM, the religion and way of life that claims descent from ABRAHAM through ISHMAEL --admittedly his elder son but by the slave woman Hagar. (Gen 15-18) SARA'S temptation of her husband to anticipate God's promise did not nullify it, but has caused untold problems and suffering ever since. God said ''In Isaac's sons shall your seed be called/named'' When
Islam's claims to Isaac's inheritance is disproved - by. the removal of the Church the " body of Christ" one can understand the fury of Muslims and the hideous persecution they will mete out to any believers who, sadly, miss the Rapture.
They can be saved subsequently--but ''as by FIRE'' (1 Cor 3:15) Christ
emphasized (Mt 24:41) ''Watch! Be on the alert lest you be found asleep and miss the summons to meet your Lord in the heavens. Be ready for instant
removal--for then shall there be suffering such as has never been--since the
beginning of the world to this time--no, nor ever shall be again."
It is not difficult to imagine the state of society and of the world when all
restraining influences--due largely to 2,000 years of Christian teaching and laws--are suddenly removed. According to Dan 12:1 there will be a time of
trouble and persecution such as never before experienced in all history, so that unless this period is shortened, no flesh on earth will survive (Mt 24:22) Suppose, for instance, you were suddenly subject to SHARIA, the Islamic religious law at its most virulent because there would be no right of appeal. Thousands are
already suffering from this in Africa and Asia, and many are today paying with their lives for their belief in and love for Christ Jesus--just as in South America where the deeds of the anti- Christian force, the so-called "Shining Path''
adherents, are so cruel as to be hard to credit.
Do you dare to risk your physical well being--not to mention your eternal
salvation--by neglecting to take advantage of God's invitation: ''Look unto me and be ye saved, all of you to the ends of the earth" (Isa 45:22) ''Enroll in my
service and learn from me, and you shall find rest for your souls'' (Mt 11:29) But note the warning in the parable of the Wise and Foolish VIRGINS (Mt.1:13
especially vs. 10) They are all ''VIRGINS''--belong to a Christian culture and
denomination--but the Foolish have made no real commitment, they have no OIL--the Holy Spirit of God--to keep them shining and lighting the way for
others. They may be believers but they are not witnesses.
And note the warning in Rev 6 vs. 15 & 16 that all who have relied on their own clean living and good deeds to save them will, in that day, call on mountains and hills, i.e. large and small nations--to destroy them rather than that they should have to face the anger and sorrow of the Lamb of God.
God is so unwilling, so regretful that anyone should perish that the warning is emphasized by being given in BOTH Mat 24--he wrote primarily for all the
descendants of Jacob--and in Luke 21 for all Gentiles also. "And I am so afraid for my dear ones lest they be among those whose only hope will be to suffer and endure, in order to purchase their salvation which is at present the gift of God through the Sacrifice once offered of His Son, our Lord."
